Flashback Friday Feature

Hello 2017 and hello to a new year (and should we say hello to a kitchen or bath remodel on your behalf? Wink, wink)! Well, with a new year we want to feature a remodel we recently did that emphasizes many of the trends we love and that are here to stay for 2017! This particular kitchen went from closed-off to open and bright, all without changing the layout! That’s a win-win if you ask us đŸ™‚ The goal for this kitchen was to give our clients a design that would last for years to come while also having some interesting design touches that set the kitchen apart from other kitchens. Take a look at what the kitchen looked like before:

Our client had great quality cabinetry from the start, so we were able to refinish them without having to replace all of the door and drawer fronts. Here we utilized a trend we love, which is the tuxedo style! This is where the upper cabinets and lower cabinets are two complimenting colors. In this case, the upper cabinets are a Sherwin Williams 7014 Eider White, and the lower cabinets are a Sherwin Williams 7024 Functional Gray. These re-vamped cabinets look beautiful if you ask us!

A great way to find countertops when doing a tuxedo kitchen is to find a color that compliments both the upper and lower cabinets. Here we have a honed Frosty Carrina from Caesarstone. This particular color is mainly white but has specs of grey, mimicking marble. With Caesartone quartz you get great quality that is also very LOW maintenance. Plus, quartz is definitely here to stay!

Utilizing contrasting tile and grout color is another trend we love that’s making a comeback, and it’s something so simple to do! Here we have a white tile that is paired with a darker grout. The tile is a 3×6 white beveled ceramic tile and Sahara Brown grout.

Plumbing Fixture and Hardware:
The plumbing fixtures and hardware gives the kitchen a beautiful finishing touch. The bronze finish gives the kitchen that extra warmth and also a designer touch. The sink faucet is a Delta Trinsic in Champagne Bronze Finish, the sink is a Blanco Silgranite in Truffle, and lastly, the gorgeous acrylic and burnished bronze hardware is a find from Etsy!
